Mitsui Chemicals operates a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant, located at Iwakuni in Japan, whihc has been shut down on September 6, for a routine maintenance.
Speaking to a Mitsui company official, fibre2fashion has learnt that, Mitsui will restart operations on 17th September 2010, after being shutdown for 11 days.
The PTA plant has a production capacity of 400,000 tons / annum.
