Turkiye's industrial output grows 4% annually in September 2023

Turkiye witnessed a 4 per cent annual growth in its industrial production in September 2023. This growth was driven by significant improvements across various subsectors. The manufacturing index rose by 3.7 per cent year-on-year (YoY).

On a monthly basis, there was a 0.1 per cent decrease in industrial production. In this more immediate timeframe, the manufacturing index remained unchanged, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a press release.

The industrial production index also highlighted a disparity in the consumer goods sector. The non-durable consumer goods sector observed an annual decrease of 3.2 per cent and a monthly decrease of 0.7 per cent.
