UK producer input prices up 0.5% YoY in Oct 2025

UK producer input prices up 0.5% YoY in Oct 2025

UK producer input prices rose by 0.5 per cent year on year (YoY) in October this year—down from a revised rise of 0.7 per cent YoY in September, according to estimates by the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

Producer output (factory gate) prices rose by 3.6 per cent YoY in October—up from a revised rise of 3.5 per cent YoY in September.

Producer input prices fell by 0.3 per cent month on month (MoM) in October following a fall of 0.1 per cent MoM in September. Producer output prices showed no movement in the month, an ONS release said.

The import price index, prices of materials and fuels imported by UK manufacturers, rose by 0.7 per cent YoY in October 2025—up from a revised YoY rise of 0.5 per cent in September. On a monthly basis, such prices rose by 0.2 per cent in October following a fall of 0.1 per cent in September.
