The data for the final demand index, unadjusted, also reflected a 0.1 per cent progression over the 12 months leading up to June. The prices for final demand goods, however, remained stagnant.
Furthermore, the index for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services noted a 0.1 per cent increase in June, after showing no change in May. On a year-to-year basis ending in June, this specific index rose 2.6 per cent, as per the bureau.
Breaking down the data for final demand goods, prices remained static in June after experiencing a 1.6 per cent drop in May. The index for final demand energy saw a 0.7 per cent increase in June, effectively neutralising the declining prices for final demand goods less foods and energy, which declined 0.2 per cent.
