Vietnam's IIP up 2.3% MoM, 8.9% YoY in November 2024

Vietnam’s index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 2.3 per cent month on month (MoM) and by 8.9 per cent year on year (YoY) in November this year, according to official statistics.

The IIP for processing and manufacturing industry increased by 11.2 per cent YoY in the month.

In the first eleven months this year, the production index of the whole industry is estimated to have increased by 8.4 per cent YoY; the index for the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.7 per cent YoY during the period.

The IIP for chemicals and chemical products increased by 13.4 per cent YoY in the first eleven months of 2024, while that for textiles increased by 12.1 per cent YoY.

The IIP in the first eleven months this year increased YoY in 60 localities in the country and dropped in three, an official release said.

The IIP for the processing and manufacturing industry between January and November this year increased by 42.1 per cent YoY in Phu Tho locality, 39.9 per cent YoY in Lai Chau, 28.3 per cent YoY in Bac Giang, 20.7 per cent YoY in Quang Nam and 19.3 per cent YoY in Thanh Hoa.
