Bangladesh's export earnings rise by 15.26% to $4.59 bn in July

Apparel items helped Bangladesh’s export earnings rise by 15.26 per cent to $4.59 billion in July, the first month of this fiscal. The figure was $3.98 billion in July last year, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said.

Out of the total export earnings this July, $3.95 billion came from the apparel products. The sector posted a 17.43 per cent growth against $3.36 billion earnings in July last year.

Knitwear items garnered $2.26 billion from exports this July—up by 22.24 per cent. It was $1.85 billion in the corresponding month last year, Bangladesh media outlets reported.

Woven items shipment rose by 11.54 per cent to $1.51 billion in the month.
