Cambodia's apparel exports to Australia at $52 min in Jan-Apr 2023

From January to April 2023, Cambodia's apparel exports to Australia amounted to $52.156 million. The previous year, 2022, saw an increase of 25 per cent in these exports, reaching a total of $140.926 million. Bilateral trade between the two countries experienced a significant surge of 60.9 per cent, rising from $325 million in 2021 to $523 million in 2022. 

In 2021, Cambodia's exports were valued at $112.846 million, a recovery from the $96.221 million recorded in 2020, down from $116.376 million in 2019, according to data obtained from Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro. 

The most prominent items in Cambodia's apparel exports are trousers and shorts, jerseys, T-shirts, innerwear, and shirts, constituting more than 75 per cent of total exports. 

Trousers and shorts accounted for the largest share of the total exports during the first four months of 2023, valued at $13.742 million, or 27.41 per cent. Jerseys followed at $11.239 million (22.41 per cent), T-shirts at $4.329 million (8.64 per cent), innerwear at $4.169 million (8.32 per cent), and shirts at $4.329 million (8.64 per cent), as per TexPro.
