Cambodia's apparel exports to Saudi Arabia at $47 mn in Jan-Oct 2023

Cambodia is set to initiate trade discussions with Saudi Arabia, potentially enhancing their bilateral trade and economic connections. During the initial ten months of 2023, Cambodia's apparel exports to Saudi Arabia amounted to $47.060 million, a decrease of 18.4 per cent from $57.675 million in the same period of 2022. These exports represented nearly half a per cent of Cambodia's total apparel exports. 

Cambodia's outbound trade to Saudi Arabia in 2022 was valued at $68.700 million, remaining stable compared to $68.685 million in 2021. In 2019, Cambodia's apparel exports to Saudi Arabia surged by 54.53 per cent, reaching $71.143 million from $46.039 million in 2018. However, there was a 5.57 per cent decline to $67.180 million in 2020, as per Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro. 

Trousers and shorts accounted for 24.33 per cent of Cambodia's total apparel exports to Saudi Arabia in the January-August 2023 period. These exports were worth $9.970 million out of the total $40.977 million apparel exports from Cambodia to Saudi Arabia. 

The breakdown of other apparel exports includes dresses at $6.677 million (16.29 per cent of total), T-shirts at $5.304 million (12.95 per cent of total), shirts at $2.481 million (6.05 per cent of total), jerseys at $1.713 million (4.18 per cent of total), coats at $1.231 million (3 per cent of total), baby wear at $0.814 million (1.99 per cent of total), ensembles at $0.718 million (1.75 per cent of total), jackets and blazers at $0.526 million (1.29 per cent of total), and innerwear at $4.485 million (1.18 per cent of total), as per TexPro.
