Trousers and shorts shipments to Saudi Arabia were valued at $8.351 million from January to July 2023. During the same period, the export of other types of apparel amounted to $8.779 million, making up 25.15 per cent of the total, according to data obtained from Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro.
Cambodia also exported dresses worth $6.429 million, constituting 18.42 per cent of exports in January to July this year. Additional categories included T-shirts at $3.627 million (10.39 per cent), shirts at $2.237 million (6.41 per cent), and jerseys at $1.245 million (3.57 per cent).
In 2022, Cambodia exported a variety of apparel to Saudi Arabia, valued at $67.476 million. The export of trousers and shorts accounted for $16.664 million, making up 24.70 per cent of the total during the same period. Shipments of other types of apparel came to $11.299 million, or 16.75 per cent of the total. Among the top five categories, T-shirts accounted for $9.680 million (14.35 per cent), dresses for $7.403 million (10.97 per cent), jerseys for $5.809 million (8.61 per cent), and coats for $3.215 million (5.77 per cent), as per TexPro.
