Singapore’s apparel imports totalled $1,846.872 million during the first ten months of 2023. The import from Cambodia, which was $34.128 million in this period, represented just 1.85 per cent of the total. The top five apparel suppliers—China, Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia—accounted for more than 65 per cent of the imports, according to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro.
Singapore’s apparel imports from Cambodia decreased by 18 per cent from $41.619 million during January-October 2022, when total imports were $1,936.029 million. During this period, Cambodia was ranked as the 10th largest supplier for Singapore, holding a market share of 2.27 per cent.
As per TexPro, Singapore imported apparel worth $51.400 million from Cambodia in 2022, which was 2.2 per cent of its total imports of $2,332.357 million. In that year, Cambodia was the 10th largest apparel supplier for Singapore. The top five suppliers—China, Italy, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh—shipped more than 67 per cent of the apparel to Singapore during the same period.
