According to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro, Turkiye exported apparel worth $3,011.768 million in 2023, which was lower than the $3,427.884 million shipped in 2022.
The UK was the second-largest market, with Turkiye exporting apparel worth $1,031.711 million during the first nine months of 2024. In comparison, exports to the UK amounted to $1,321.331 million in 2023 and $1,629.114 million in 2022. France was the third-largest market, with exports totalling $614.579 million from January to September 2024, down from $949.036 million in 2023 and $1,003.719 million in 2022.
Turkiye’s apparel exports to the US during the January-September 2024 period amounted to $549.142 million, followed by Italy at $396.030 million and Russia at $302.865 million. In 2023, shipments to these countries were $778.809 million, $655.045 million, and $623.461 million, respectively, according to TexPro.
During the first nine months of 2024, Turkiye’s apparel exports to Saudi Arabia amounted to $232.690 million, to Canada $56.994 million, and to Australia $27.646 million. Last year, shipments to these countries were valued at $179.638 million, $91.027 million, and $41.341 million, respectively.
Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, and Argentina were smaller markets for Turkiye’s apparel exports.
