Global trade of men's or boys' shirts declined

The global trade of men's or boys' shirts (knitted and crocheted) has been declining since the last year. The total trade has increased by 2.48 per cent from the year 2017 to 2019, according to the data from TexPro. The global trade of men’s or boy’s shirts was $13,279.69 million in 2017, which increased to $13,609.39 million in 2019. 
 
The total trade of men’s or boys' shirts has reduced by 3.13 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is anticipated to surge to $14,131.15 million in 2022 with a rate of 3.83 per cent from 2019, according to Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
 
The global export of men’s or boys’ shirts was $6,045.10 million in 2017, which slightly boosted by 0.11 per cent to $6,051.98 million in 2019. Total exports diminished by 4.50 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to escalate to $6,062.32 million in 2022 with a rate of 0.17 per cent from 2019.
 
The global import value of men’s or boys’ shirts was $7,234.60 million in 2017, which soared by 4.46 per cent to $7,557.41 million in 2019. Total imports cut by 2.00 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to increase to $8,068.82 million in 2022 with a rate of 6.77 per cent from 2019.
 
China ($1,006.43 million), India ($657.04 million), Pakistan ($448.58 million) and Poland ($392.23 million) were the key exporters of men’s or boys’ shirts across the globe in 2019, together comprising 41.38 per cent of total export. These were followed by Italy ($348.73 million), Hong Kong ($309.56 million) and Guatemala ($302.15 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Germany (36.53 per cent).
 
US ($2,001.68 million), Germany ($597.77 million), UK ($505.12 million) and Japan ($458.77 million) were the key importers of men’s or boys’ shirts across the globe in 2019, together comprising 47.15 per cent of total import. These were followed by France ($440.78 million), Spain ($342.39 million) and Italy ($341.79 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import value, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Japan (10.82 per cent) and Germany (7.51 per cent).
