Clothing industry exported $13.7 billion worth goods in 2005, according statistics.
Compared to the 2004, an increase of 4.7 percent was registered in the clothing export during 2005.
Further, the figures show that the clothing industry represents 18.7 percent of the total exports of Turkey.
It is evident that the clothing industry has kept its leading position among the country's exporting industries.
