Canada scripts growth story of Vietnamese garment exports

Vietnamese garment and textile exports to Canada have been increasing incessantly, said Industry Ministry official.
Most demanded category was jackets earned revenue of $1.5 reported double the growth compared to same period of 2005.
Trousers another major export category has fetched $1 million whih is around 120 percent increase.
All this happened due to abolishment of import quota by Canada for Vietnamese garment and textile products after WTO's Agreement on Textiles and Clothing that expired in January 2005, and also the fact that Vietnam is yet to receive WTO membership.
