Council for Implementing Textile Agreement (CITA) of the US has directed its Customs to permit Vietnam to implement its textile and garment export quota of 2005 in the year 2006 by amending categories and transfer of quotas, as shown in the table, informed Vietnamese Ministry of Trade (MOT).
CITA gave this permission on April 27 2006 on the strength of proposal put up by Vietnam's MOT in order to put in better quota performance for remaining period of 2006.
This decision is effective May 03, 2006.
