Vietnam's textile and garment exports turnover touched $600 million in August 2006, while for the first eight months it recorded $3.93 billion, according to statistics released by Ministry of Trade (MOT).
Exports turnover increased at an average of $500 million every month.
The US, Japan and EU were the largest importers of Vietnamese textile and apparel; the US imported textile and apparel goods worth $1.403 million.
Country's total exports to the US crossed $1.5 billion while exports to EU jumped 50 percent.
