Last year, apparel industry witnessed a positive trend in exports of accessories.
Exports of apparel accessories reached $57.9 million in December 2006, pushing export turnover of last year to $503.33 million, up 13 percent over 2005, sources informed.
In 2006, apparel accessories were exported to 44 countries, of which US emerged as biggest importer by spending US $162.83 million in 2006, followed by $65.49 million and Japan $47.49 million.
