Henan improves quality of clothing exports to Africa

Through out 2006 and first four months of this year, Henan's clothing export to Africa maintained improved quality, increasing prices from US $2.04 to $3.13 per piece.

Now, garment export from the Province to Africa has entered the phase of steady development.

Import and Export Inspection Administration statistics show that in 2005, around 14,000 pieces of clothing worth US $33,600, were disqualified. This figure accounted for 5.8 percent of the total apparel exports to Africa from Henan Province.

The Import and Export Inspection Administration of Henan Province reinforces production supervision, encourages companies to enhance their quality awareness. Now the clothing quality of exports to Africa has been improved significantly.
