Garment exports reach a new high

In the first half of current year, China's clothing exports reached around US $483 billion, a year-on-year growth of 21.82 percent.

The amount of imports scored $839 million during this period, showing an increase of 4.8 percent during the corresponding period of last year.

Garment industry realized a trade surplus of about $47 billion.
