Exports earn 95% of revenue for Yung Nam Garment

Operating 10 sewing lines with 500 workers so far, Yung Nam Garment Joint Stock Company generated VND 4.1 billion or US $0.26 million of revenue and net profit of $76,875 in the first half of this year. Exports make up for 95 percent of the earnings at $0.24 million.

Yung Nam Garment, a joint venture between Phuong Nam Garment Co of Vinatex and Singapore-based Yung Lien, has been established in Giao Long Industrial Zone, Ben Tre province with total investment of $1.75 million.

The company plans to invest 24 more sewing lines by 2009 to produce four million products annually and earn $16 million per year from exports and employ over 1,300 local labors.
