A recent report from the General Department of Customs claims that in September, export of elastic shirt touched the highest level since beginning of 2007. Price was quoted at US $3.28 each piece, up one percent from August and 2 percent against July 2007.
For the first nine months, the price was $3.01 for each piece, rose to 7.33 percent against same period 2006,
US market saw the high price at $3.78 per piece in September and $3.39 per piece in January to September period. In the same line, the price in Japan reached $3.91 each piece and $3.47 per piece respectively.
From January to September 2007, Vietnam exported around 376 million elastic shirts worth $1.1 billion, representing year–on–year growth of 45 and 56 percent, respectively.
