Vietnam's export earnings from the garment and textile sector touched US $900 million in January 2011, registering a hike of 10.6 percent from a period ago.
The garment exports remained reasonable during the first quarter of the earlier years. But it is the first time that export turnover of garments and textiles had touched a very high level in the first month only.
The garment sector intends to surpass the export target of $12.5 billion for this year.
