Poland emerged as the largest market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for apparel exports from China in the first five months of this year, with exports valued at $658.189 million. The CEE region includes Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Slovakia. The Czech Republic and Hungary followed, with exports worth $77.784 million and $68.625 million, respectively.

Additional Chinese apparel exports in the region during the same period included $49.041 million to Romania, $39.042 million to Slovenia, $15.195 million to Slovakia, $10.375 million to Lithuania, $10.313 million to Bulgaria, $4.590 million to Latvia, and $4.521 million to Estonia, as per Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro.

In 2023, Chinese apparel exports to Poland were recorded at $1,482.121 million, to the Czech Republic at $235.667 million, and to Hungary at $143.225 million. Shipments to other countries were valued at $134.473 million to Romania, $122.283 million to Slovenia, $43.999 million to Slovakia, $31.588 million to Lithuania, $29.139 million to Bulgaria, $12.594 million to Latvia, and $17.485 million to Estonia.

In 2022, China exported apparel to Poland worth $1,744.601 million. The country’s apparel shipments to the Czech Republic were valued at $302.055 million and to Hungary at $207.795 million. Outbound trade to other countries was recorded as follows: $91.727 million to Romania, $152.464 million to Slovenia, $41.255 million to Slovakia, $37.903 million to Lithuania, $36.253 million to Bulgaria, $12.368 million to Latvia, and $17.537 million to Estonia, as per TexPro.
