Gambia is keen to import jute and leather goods from Bangladesh, the former's high commissioner to the latter Mustapha Jawara told the South Asian nation's textile minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak.

Gambia is keen to import jute and leather goods from Bangladesh, the former’s high commissioner to the latter Mustapha Jawara told the South Asian nation’s textile minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak.

Both discussed several issues, including the progress of various development projects in Bangladesh’s textile and jute sectors and the prospects of Gambian students studying in Bangladesh’s educational institutions, a news agency reported.

The textile minister told reporters that the envoy praised the Bangladesh government for development carried out in various sectors.
