Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) captured two smugglers with 2.60 tons of base quality Indian jute seeds worth about Tk one million from Nageswari border in Kurigram last night.
Local media reported that international smugglers smuggled-in 2.60 tons of low quality Indian jute seeds in around 2,600 bags last night and stockpiled those at the frontier village of Santoshpur under Nageswari Upazila of the district.
Following a secret information, BDR officials suddenly raided the place and seized the jute seeds.
