Foreign investment invited to rejuvenate jute industry

As the coalition government is to finish its term soon, it is planning to renovate the jute industry by inviting foreign investment.
In political avenues, opposition claim that the ruling party promised before last election that jute's past glory would be restored.
Japanese and Korean companies are conducting research to find more eco-friendly options of polythene and use of jute in automobile parts, aprons and burial materials, media reports.
Therefore, the future of golden fibre is bright and the country should help foreign companies in their mission of jute development by manufacturing quality products, which can be alternatives to polythene.
Country has a large automobile market abroad and can explore even at home.
