Jute traders of various districts of Bangladesh had supplied jute to eight jute mills under Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) in Khulna region but they have not been paid since last six years.
Jute traders insist BJMC authorities repay their dues amounting to about Tk 300 million by July 31 or else they would stop supplying jute to the mills.
The jute traders had on several occasions in the past persisted to recover their dues but BJMC authorities have not paid any heed to their pleas, so far.
