Government has decided to pay 11 crore for recommencement of country's oldest jute mill, Nepal Jute Mills which remained closed for past four months.
Though Government representatives and labourers reached consensus in Biratnagar three weeks ago, Nepal Jute Mills will restart its operation from August 30; the mill was to start on August 16 but some unfulfilled fundamental requirements compelled to extend the date.
Phul Kumar Lalvani is Chairman of five-member committee to look after mill's activities and Raj Kumar Gautam has been appointed as General Manager.
