Awami League led opposition political parties and the CPB has called for a simultaneous dawn to dusk hartal(strike) that has been earlier called by the Jute and Textile Mills Workers-Employees Action Council (JTMWEAC).
The opposition will extend their support to the workers with the same day's shutdown programme.
The jute and textile sectors have been demanding reopening of closed factories and payment of salary with other economic benefits of the workers and the employees of those enterprises, media reported.
