1 min read
Government has taken concrete steps to boost share of Jute industry in domestic market.
It has taken steps to ensure 100 percent usage of jute bags in packaging food grains, sugar, cement etc.
Government has also lifted provision of ten percent polythene in packing of fertilizers.
These steps are expected to benefit farmers in the country and encourage them to carry out cultivation of jute.
Experts are of the opinion that size and shape of jute products for packaging should be according to the requirements of different sectors.
