According to the new government notification, exports of raw jute will be permitted for all those who have already opened 'Letters of Credit' (L/C).

The announcement also added by saying that, the ban will once again come in to effect, once this limited waiver period is over.

In the first instance the government had imposed a ban on raw jute exports in December to ensure steady supply to domestic millers and control spiraling prices.
