Indian designers and cosmetologists are advised to work together to bring international fashion awards at home.
After witnessing a few shows in India, the former French supermodel and present consultant Anne De Champignuel said he found a large gulf between the skin tones of the models, their makeup and their costumes.
Fashion is all about the explosive blend of outfits and makeup, added Champignuel.
Just like dresses, cosmetics take into account different times of the day.
Impressed by india's rich variety of textiles and fabrics, she pointed out it was important to involve fabricators in this value chain.
Champignuel also warned designers for their over leaning towards 'West' as she failed to find Indianness in designers.
Champignuel was in India to present the annual Les Trois Fileuses Dor award from the Paris-based International Association for Young Creators (IAYC) to ace fashion designer Ritu Beri.
Champignuel is associated with events like the Paris, London and Milan Fashion Weeks.
