In a bid to globalise Japan’s popular cute little girl style fashion sensibility Lolita Fashion, the Omula Fashion Design College, located in the city of Fukuoka, has established an organization, reported The Japan Times.

Titled as Japan Lolita Association, the group, comprising of Lolita aficionados, aims to promote the famous fashion subculture through various internationally organized events.

In addition to hosting promotional soirees, the association also plans to appoint ambassadors or leaders, representing the modest Victorian-era inspired fashion culture, in foreign countries.

Developed as an answer to the skin exposing modern fashion, Lolita fashion, which originated in Japan sometime in the 1980s, includes childlike, frilly lace made conventional knee-length dresses based primarily in pink and white colours.
