Traje de flamenco, the traditional brightly coloured ankle-length voluminous outfit worn by the female Flamenco dancers, has found new admirers among the fashion loving US citizens.

A Spanish company named Molina Moda Flamenca has recently staged a spectacular runway show displaying its latest range of Andalusian Flamenco dresses in Miami, Florida.

Supported by the Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia (Extenda), the catwalk presentation featured both classic red ruffled gowns as well as lightweight Flamenco dresses in cheerful shades of green, emerald and yellow.

In a bid to popularise Flamenco fashion in the US, the Andalusia-based clothier plans to stage further more Flamenco catwalk presentations in cities like New York, Lima and Caracas, reported eluniverso.com.

Founded in 1969, Seville-based Molina Moda Flamenca has designed outfits for the internationally famous artists and dancers like Patricia Vela, Charo Reina and Maria Pilar Astola.
