As the monsoon closes in, designers are busy creating and promoting fashionable means to avoid getting drenched in heavy rains.

Paris spring/summer menswear events offered a glimpse of the monsoon trend.

For instance, double-breasted coats and Mackintoshes with detachable collars by renowned British designer, Gieves' Joe Casely-Hayford, were undoubted the highlight, that was perfect to replace the dull traditional trench coats cut to the waist.

The bright yellows were a pleasant welcome change from the greys and dull blues.

Dutch Lucas Ossendrijver showcased a stylish blend of valiant and glitter with hooded grey, striped coats.

As far as footwear goes, Japanese styled colorful, high-topped rainy shoes and beautiful umbrellas are making a wave as it pours outside.
