A report released by US-Saudi Business Council reveals that in one shopping spree, Saudis purchase almost three fragrance bottles.
As compared to 4.87 billion Saudi riyals in 2003, perfume and cosmetic sales likely to increase by seven percent in Saudi Arabia this year attaining 5.25 billion riyals.
The report states that Saudis have hardly any entertainment measures which increase sales of fragrances.
34 percent of Saudi perfumes and cosmetics market is mainly occupied by French products, followed by Chinese and then American products.
The report further analyzes that Saudi women shell out a large amount for cosmetics whereas men spend merely 112 million riyals or more on items of personal care.
