Festivities are the largest and longest sales season in Bangladesh that begins before Ramadan, although weddings also create Bangladeshi consumer's passionate about fashion purchasing and gifting clothes.

Bangladeshi shoppers jump into the discount and promotion exercise riding on Eid's annual ritual.

Khadi, cotton, endy and silk fabrics are used in salwar-kameez in wide variety of colors presenting new type of cutting and neckline in their dresses, besides introducing exquisite machine embroidery, block, run fore, kantha, glass, sequin, appliqué, guzrati, shed work.

Designer Emdad Haq, has worked in mostly khadi fabrics by using design of saris of seventy to eighty years ago.

For this, antique jewelry or ancient building is used as a design for saris. Tangail and mirpur katan are also available for Eid collection.

Saris are embellished with embroidery, beads, sequins, crystal in chiffon, georgette, French chiffon, crepe silk, kota.

Salwar-kameez comes in materials like maximum crepe silk, cotton dupian and raw silk.

Anjan's present silk Punjabis along with cotton Punjabis and their Eid collection focuses on Rajshahi silk, endy cotton, handloom, linen and cotton in pulsating colors.

There is variety in cutting, in neckline, they use collar, in sleeve, and they use short sleeve as well as semi short sleeved.

Hand embroidery, machine embroidery, and materials like wood, sequin, plastic and snailare also used.
