At Shawnee High School's annual fashion show held in December 2006, one of the students Devin Soares displayed her designing skills for first time. Classmates modeled her formal and casual wear in front of an audience consisting of school faculty and students.
Amongst the 20 dresses exhibited, two prom gowns were designed by Devin in the previous year. Entire collection has been crafted by a single student for first time in the history of this event.
She has not received any specific training in fashion designing. Her mother does sewing for her as she lacks the skill.
Devin Soares aspires to be a professional designer and launch her personal outlet.
