As 'designer prêt' dominates markets and tastes, getting even a glimpse of 'haute couture' is like seeing the pope! Well, atleast that is what the elite designers believe.
Fashion experts believe that couture has not growing in India. Infact, prêt is rapidly taking over.
In long run prêt holds more profits although the margins are much smaller than that of couture.
Several designers are collaborating with established retailers and fashion houses to create prêt-a-porter range.

However, Provogue considers this trend a way to grab attention and is not yet ready to hop on the wagon.
