Fashion has become integral part of life today, may it be a college youngster or a corporate executive, a simple housewife or a bold business woman. So, why does the way we dress influence us so greatly? Several experts believe that clothes reflect our personality.
As months go by, not only styles and patterns change but also fabrics and colours. This makes it absolutely necessary for anyone to stay up-to-date on latest trends and know exactly what's in and what not! Fibre2fashion approached some renowned designers to enlighten us with their ideas and views.
“More than a person's lifestyle and status, style is inherent and anyone with an innate sense of style can make a fashion statement. Fashion reflects the persona. Simple classic lines reflect a no fuss attitude, while experimental could reflect someone with attitude,” believes Designer Anand Kabra. Meanwhile, Deepika Govind beams, “Fashion, like art, is a reflection of life. In an image-conscious world, it is increasingly important to dress the part.”
On the other hand, some pros like Niki Mahajan do not think that fashion affects life as greatly. Infact, Niki says, “As in today's world people wear according to their lifestyle and job. If they are from field work they need to wear according to it. And in regards to status, with money one can buy quality, but it is not necessary that people not having enough money cannot be fashionable.”
