To attain the 2006 export turnover target of 16.7 percent year – on – year increase, Vietnamese footwear industry led by Vietnam Leather and Shoes Association has planned four strategies, industry sources announced.
First, as for the export enterprises, they shall focus on exploiting comprehensively American markets, including the US, Mexico, Canada and Brazil.
Second, with respect to the anti-dumping case by EC, competent authorities and all enterprises must stand united to solve such a issue as soon as possible in order to capitalize on the big EU market.
Third, all concerned individuals and organization shall approach the new potential markets like Middle East and Africa etc.
Lastly, they shall accelerate export to the traditional but small market share clients, including Japan, Korea and Eastern European countries etc.
