Leather industry in south-east Queensland has been tanned by double blow of nature.
Drought conditions have compelled Murgon Leather to impose water restrictions, while its main supplier of hides closed due to cyclone.
The Innisfail Meatworks will remain shut till the end of the month.
General Manager James Barbeler says the leather tanning business has been forced to cut back on staff and production.
