Shoe soles import rates hiked sharply from US $1.07 per pair in March by almost 37.18 percent in April 2006.
Three major import sources of shoe soles include dealers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
While April prices by Hong Kong suppliers was around $1.2 per pairs, representing a rise of almost one percent from late March, that by Taiwanese suppliers was up 58.25 percent to reach $1.63.
China has raised prices by about 68 percent to nearly $0.84 per pair.
