European importers may walk away with imitation leather shoes business

Anti-dumping duties on Chinese leather shoes have forced European importers to purchase plastic and imitation leather as the goods are duty-free.

So far, European countries have placed orders worth US $23 million of plastic and leatherette shoes.

Chinese leather enterprises have turned to manufacturing the two commodities and at the same time, looking for the third-world nations as export destinations.
