A sharp drop has been observed in the Chinese leather shoes export as a result of the implementation of anti-dumping duties by EU.

Guangdong customs' reported that in the month of January this year, the exports reached ten million pairs, however, in April only around five million pairs were shipped.

Thus, leather shoes enterprises' union has employed lawyers and economic analysts, and has sent a formal answer report to European Union Committee.

They applied to hold the hearing at the end of this May.

The report also noted that the EU should recognize this situation and has no reasons to blame the downtrend in European markets on Chinese exports.
