Over 50 shoe making units have resorted to shifting their production base to Indonesia as EU has decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese shoe industry.
Already around 3000 units have closed down as thier order books are yet to open an account.
Among these units, over 1000 shoes factories are located in Wenzhou, 1500 in Quanzhou and 300 at Shenzhen.
Industry experts believe that after this strategic shift of Chinese shoe manufacturers, footwear exports of Indonesian will shoot up 20 percent, this year.
