Open doors of US welcome domestic footwear enterprises as EU has imposed anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese shoes.
According to Ministry of Textile, the country has increased its footwear exports to the US markets and is not regretful over EU's turn away.
From January to May this year, total turnover by exporting goods to US reached $46 million, which recorded year-on-year surge of 21 percent.
Besides sports shoes, leather-capped shoes witness sharp growth.
Ministry officials informed that this was a positive trend as it would decrease industry's dependence on the EU markets.
