Chinese shoe exporters are not at loss even after EU has imposed anti-dumping duties on shoes.
This is because of export unit price increased by 70 percent as the quantity of exports got reduced due to anti-dumping duties.
For example, quantity of shoes exported to Italy has reduced by 7.17 percent in last 2 months, but export unit price has increased from US $3.52 per pair to $6 per pair.
EU is the major export destination for shoe enterprises of Wenzhou city.
In order to deal with trade barriers, they have shifted their attention from quantity to quality.
