Aba leather facility which will generate $100 million through exports turnover, has been developed by Federal Ministry of Industry and the Abia State government partnering with United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), according to statistics released by Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).

The facility is likely to provide jobs to around 23,000 people and services to more than 11,000 enterprises.

At Aba, trainees will have opportunity to access quality control, advice and services on quality, in-process and product quality checks, tool-room facilities, or certification, packing/packaging and labeling.

Federal Ministry of Industry and UNIDO are making joint efforts to promote non-oil sectors and create export culture in the country to boost economic development.
