Chengdu city produces women's shoes for units based in Wenzhou city with a total value of over RMB5 billion each year.
Around 200 Wenzhou shoes units have set up purchasing offices in Chengdu, from where they buy shoes and put logos of their own brands.
Chengdu is a shoe city for Chinese women as the women's shoes are available in innovative designs, quality and lower prices. Moreover, women's shoe units consider Chengdu city as an important production base.
At present, Government of Chengdu is planning to establish huge industrial area for shoemaking.
